Tim and Jenny - photos coming soon!

This adorable couple of lovebirds got married the day after Shannon and Chris (below) -- which is why I'm a bit backlogged right now!  But here's one photo to tide you over till I can catch up a bit.  (More on Facebook, if you've visited my page there!)  This was our last photo of the day, as they left the reception...a romantic moment in the moonlight.  :)

Can't wait to share more.  :)

Shannon and Chris - coming soon!

Last week I took a super-quick trip to Colorado to photograph Chris and Shannon's wedding...it was perfect timing, a lovely sunny day *just* after a blizzard dumped two or three feet of snow!  (That's perfect God timing!)

More photos are coming, but here's a start...

Also coming soon, photos of Tim and Jenny's wedding!  Lots to share...as soon as I can!

Tim and Jenny - engagement portraits

...although I have to admit, "portraits" somehow sounds overly dignified for this happy, hilarious photo session!  These two kept cracking me up -- and each other, too, so I just kept photographing it all through the laughterTim and Jenny know how to make each other laugh!  Not to mention that they're both very photogenic individuals, perfectly at ease in front of the camera, and totally twitterpated.  Makes for a lovely engagement photo session!

Love all the happiness here!  It was a great afternoon.  Can't wait for the wedding next month!!

Amy and Kevin's wedding - preview!

Happy New Year, everyone!  It's a time for new beginnings...and the very best kind of beginning?  A wedding of course!

Kevin and Amy were married this weekend in Jackson, CA.  I've known Amy and her family for a long time, and it was incredible to see her so happy -- she and Kevin are such a perfect fit!

I'll be working through the photos in the next week or two and posting more, but meanwhile, here are a few to get started...

We had the most gorgeous weather in the morning, and then it got cloudy around 11am.  SO grateful we got to photograph on this hillside while it was sunny -- God had everything worked out!

This is after they'd been married for about ten minutes...I love how they're just glowing with happiness...

Historic downtown Jackson is a fun place for photos...can't wait to share more!

Merry Christmas...have some eggnog!

Merry Christmas everyone!  Want to try something yummy?  :)

I'm a little sensitive to sugar and dairy products right now, so coconut milk has become one of my new best friends.  This month I went on the hunt for a dairy-free, sugar-free recipe for eggnog...because without eggnog, Christmas just isn't the same!

This one is GOOD.  I've served it to family and guests these last couple weeks and it's been a hit!  And it's healthy toofull of protein, enzymes, and good fats, and the coconut milk gives it anti-viral/anti-bacterial properties too.  Not bad, hm?

Dairy-Free Eggnog

2 eggs (free-range organic eggs taste best and are the best for you!)
2 c. coconut milk (I made my own but you can use fresh/cannedjust make sure it doesn't have sweeteners or preservatives)
1-2 t. vanilla
2 T. maple syrup, honey, sucanat; or a few drops of stevia; or whatever sweetener you like, to taste
1/4 t. each nutmeg and cinnamon
pinch allspice

Blend all ingredients till very smooth (I use my Vitamix).  Put in a small saucepan and cook SLOWLY over low heat, stirring frequently.  Be careful not to let it boil or it will curdle and taste "eggy".  When it just starts to thicken, remove from heat and chill for several hours or overnight.  Serve with a sprinkling of nutmeg on top.

Enjoy!  :)  And may God delight your heart with special blessings today!
