Reece & Darlene - engagement

This wedding is coming up fast!  I met up with Reece and Darlene in Sacramento a few weeks ago for some engagement portraits, and their wedding is next week!  We had a wonderful time wandering around the Capitol grounds and Old Sac.  This is one romantic couple, let me tell you.  The way they look at each other...it's the cutest thing.  :)

Tim and Jenny - engagement portraits

...although I have to admit, "portraits" somehow sounds overly dignified for this happy, hilarious photo session!  These two kept cracking me up -- and each other, too, so I just kept photographing it all through the laughter.  Tim and Jenny know how to make each other laugh!  Not to mention that they're both very photogenic individuals, perfectly at ease in front of the camera, and totally twitterpated.  Makes for a lovely engagement photo session!

 

Love all the happiness here!  It was a great afternoon.  Can't wait for the wedding next month!!

Amy + Kevin's engagement session - sneak peek

All I can say is: FUN.  These two love each other, and love having fun with each other.  And that makes an engagement shoot more fun than anything else!

Amy and I both said "Oooooh!" when we saw this grass.  So we spent quite a while there. :)

 

 

 

Look at the happy eyes here...these two are going to have an awesome marriage.

More to come later, but this week is the Christmas deadline for wedding albums...which has resulted in many hours of delightful designing at the expense of sleep...but the books are going to be stunning and make a whole lot of people VERY happy, so I'm OK with that.  :)  Later!

Tyler and Missy - engagement session

When I met with Missy to talk about wedding photos, she told me how much she loves daisies...and I thought, aha!  I have just the spot for the engagement session!  This is the perfect time of year for daisies at my favorite park in the Oakland hills.  :)

So after a few reschedules (seems the rain decided to come only on Saturdays this month!) a Saturday came with perfect weather, and I had a grand time photographing Tyler and Missy among the daisies, redwoods, and little blue forget-me-nots.

 

 

 

 

Looking forward to photographing Tyler and Missy's outdoor wedding in August!  :)  They are an awesome couple! And thanks to Amanda for helping out with this engagement shoot -- she's a great assistant.  :)

Thomas and Jessica - engaged!

I love this couple! :D I've known Thomas since he was a toddler—our families grew up together and my siblings and I call his mom "Aunt Wendy".

And now, a couple decades later...Thomas is getting married!  I just met Jessica this week and felt like we were friends already.  Jessica is simply lovely inside and out.  She has a wonderfully calm, easygoing spirit, and a beautiful desire to please God with her life.  No wonder she and Thomas fell in love with each other!

It makes me feel all happy and big-sisterly to see these two together.  :)  We had so much fun doing their engagement photos...as you can see!

It's great how these two can goof off and laugh with each other. :)

 

 

 

 

Looking forward to photographing Thomas and Jessica's wedding in August...and watching the two of them grow together in Jesus' love.  I'm sure they have a whole host of adventures ahead of them!
