Chris & Shannon

Chris and Shannon were married on a beautiful sunny day in Colorado...just after a snowstorm dumped a couple feet of snow on everything (and caused flight delays, and otherwise scrambled people's travel plans...but they all made it!).

It was a perfect "bluebird day" filled with sunshine, snow, and lots of friends of the happy couple.  I'm so thrilled Chris and Shannon found each other.  God clearly has a hand on these two lives!

Frank & Edith

Welllll so it's been a long and busy summer.  But who hasn't had a long and busy summer?  So that's no excuse for not posting.  Truth be told, I've been posting on Facebook and neglecting this blog, but that isn't fair to my readers who aren't on Facebook...so here goes!  Lots of catching up ahead!

To start off, here's a lovely older couple who celebrated a special wedding anniversary in June, and wanted portraits done to commemorate the occasion: Frank and Edith, still in love after 65 years!  (Yes, 65!!)

"Careful Unreasonableness"

Sometimes Oswald Chambers says something that really hits me between the eyes.  My mom mentioned this one to me a few days ago and it's just too good not to share...

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they simply are! Think of the sea, the air, the sun, the stars and the moonall these are, and what a ministration they exert.

"So often we mar God's designed influence through us by our self-conscious effort to be consistent and useful.  Jesus says that there is only one way to develop spiritually, and that is by concentration on God.  'Do not bother about being of use to others; believe on Me'pay attention to the Source, and out of you will flow rivers of living water.  We cannot get at the springs of our natural life by common sense, and Jesus is teaching that growth in spiritual life does not depend on our watching it, but on concentration on our Father in heaven. Our heavely Father knows the circumstances we are in, and if we keep concentrated on Him we will grow spiritually as the lilies.

"The people who influence us most are not those who buttonhole us and talk to us, but those who live their lives like the stars in heaven and the liles in the field, perfectly simply and unaffectedly. Those are the lives that mould us.

"If you want to be of use to God, get rightly related to Jesus Christ and He will make you of use unconsciously every minute you live."

- My Utmost for His Highest (May 18)

Good thoughts.  Invite Jesus into your day, and just be yourself!

Tim and Jenny - photos coming soon!

This adorable couple of lovebirds got married the day after Shannon and Chris (below) -- which is why I'm a bit backlogged right now!  But here's one photo to tide you over till I can catch up a bit.  (More on Facebook, if you've visited my page there!)  This was our last photo of the day, as they left the reception...a romantic moment in the moonlight.  :)

Can't wait to share more.  :)

Shannon and Chris - coming soon!

Last week I took a super-quick trip to Colorado to photograph Chris and Shannon's wedding...it was perfect timing, a lovely sunny day *just* after a blizzard dumped two or three feet of snow!  (That's perfect God timing!)

More photos are coming, but here's a start...

Also coming soon, photos of Tim and Jenny's wedding!  Lots to share...as soon as I can!

Tim and Jenny - engagement portraits

...although I have to admit, "portraits" somehow sounds overly dignified for this happy, hilarious photo session!  These two kept cracking me up -- and each other, too, so I just kept photographing it all through the laughterTim and Jenny know how to make each other laugh!  Not to mention that they're both very photogenic individuals, perfectly at ease in front of the camera, and totally twitterpated.  Makes for a lovely engagement photo session!

Love all the happiness here!  It was a great afternoon.  Can't wait for the wedding next month!!
