Album designing...

What do you get when you mix a little creativity, a whole bunch of cool images, and some late nights in front of the computer?  A gorgeous custom-designed wedding album!  It's going to print at the end of this week. I always love seeing a collection of beautiful images professionally printed in a top-quality book like this, and I can hardly wait for my clients to see them!

So I thought I'd share a couple of the spreads with you.  These are two-page spreads, 19" wide, so you'll just have to imagine them really BIG.  ;) (And without the copyright...hehe.) And thick pages with glossy metallic paper that reflects the light so beautifully...yeah...I love these albums.  :)

Blake and Jae

On June 5th, Blake and Jae were married at a beautiful garden resort...and I was thrilled to pieces to be able to photograph their wedding!  :)  They are some of the most big-hearted people I think I've met.  I was really impressed by the care they took in planning their wedding so that all their guests would enjoy themselves.  They were constantly thinking of others...and it showed in all the details of their beautiful day.

What a fabulous wedding party!  Tons of personality...

I think this was my favorite photo spot of the day.  Simply magical.

As always...more later!  :)  I have a ton more that I can hardly wait to post...once they're edited.  I'm having a ball with Lightroom 3, by the way.  :D  The new improvements Adobe has made are just fantastic.  I am in awe of the new sharpening and noise reduction capabilities.  And the import dialog.  And the export dialog. And it's faster. And, and, and.........it's just an amazing tool, now made even amazing-er!

Anyways, there are more photos coming, once Lightroom and I have worked our magic on the rest of the Raw files.  :)  Till then...have a lovely Sunday, everybody!

Hey everybody!  No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, it's just "wedding season" and I'm working like crazy!  And enjoying it very much of course...weddings are so much fun.  :)

Blake & Jae engagement session

Blake and Jae are getting married in June, and we met this month for an engagement session.  It was a cloudy afternoon with rain approaching, but it held off till after we finished -- yay!

Blake and Jae are so relaxed and natural with each other...obviously meant to be together!  It was wonderful to spend a couple hours with them and get to know them better.  They both love the outdoors, so we hit it off right away.  And they were willing to do whatever it took to get some great photos.  Which we did!  We went to a park outside Livermore and found all sorts of things that made this photog very happy...rocks, paths, green grass, a bridge with cool lines, and near the end of our time together, a beautifully green, ferny, secluded little nook.  It was a magical spot for sure!
