Just a little bunny

Hey everybody!  I'm too busy finishing up editing for the latest wedding to get a "real" blog post up...but I thought I'd post a few quick photos to give you a smile.  This is Teddy, a Mini Lop.  He's a little shy, but very sweet and more than happy to cuddle on your lap as long as you keep petting his incredibly soft fur.

Helloooo?

(Hmmm...so, if I wanted to get out of here.........)

Noelle lives next door to Teddy.  She is a slightly wilder-tempered rabbit with a little too much personality.  If she'll ever sit halfway still, I'll do a blog post on her someday too.  ;)  (Here she's too busy gnawing on the wood to pay any attention to me.)

OK, back to the wedding editing.  Hope these funny little creatures gave you a smile...in case you needed one.  :)

Her Royal Highness

Meet Mesika, an adorable and rather privileged furry friend of mine who lives in Oregon.  ;)  She is a Golden Retriever/poodle cross, and quite the bundle of fun and smarts.  I'm not kidding, this dog is way too cute for her own good!  Check out these photos and see if you agree!

Mesika owns two humans, Janet Schultz and her daughter Emily.  (A third human also lives with Mesika, Betsy, but I don't believe she is owned by Mesika in quite the way the other humans are.)  My sister Heidi also lives in Oregon, where she works as a nurse.  So my camera and I visited this interesting crew the week before last, and after a discussion with Mesika, I have been graciously allowed privileges to post some photos of Her Royal Doggie-ness here.  ;)

Playing catch with Emily. (In which pastime Dog gets Human to throw Ball as long as Dog wants to. Humans are very trainable, you know.)

Pleeease?  Can you throw it for me now?

Goofy little dog. :) She's actually incredibly fast.

Awww.

Emily, by the way, has an art studio that will be featured in an upcoming blog...I did some photo collecting there.  :)

Cloe and friends

One of the many things I love about photographing weddings is all the little kids I get to work with.  They're so full of life.   You never know what they're going to do!  They're quick to accept you as a friend if you're sincerely interested in them.  They're usually not afraid to let you know exactly what they think, and they have an amazing amount of energy.  The world is a very big place to explore when you've only been in it half a dozen years or so... and I love watching them navigate the exciting new experiences involved in being a ring bearer or flower girl.

Cloe was one of several adorable children (flower girls and...escorts? what do you call multiple iterations of what you'd normally call a ring bearer?) at Steven and Grace's wedding in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. She's the oldest daughter of Natan and Julie Terrell, who do missions work there in Chiapas. (You can check out their website here.)

Hanging out with the groomsmen at the rehearsal

Bubbles and cute flower girls just go together perfectly :)

Cloe has two cute little sisters!  Here's baby Brennah, with John, one of the groomsmen.

Later at the reception with her mommy, Julie...enough excitement for the day.  :)

With her good friend Chris (my brother)  :)

Cloe and Gabi

My brother Chris and I were staying at Nathan and Julie's that weekend, so naturally, I have lots more cute photos of these three cute sisters to share with you...later!  :)  Meanwhile I'm in the process of posting the rest of the photos from this wedding here.

Till next time...

randomness...from Peter and Mandy's wedding rehearsal

So, amidst editing and organizing photos today, I came across a few more Peter-and-Mandy photos that I haven't posted...and because it's Saturday and I'm feeling exceedingly random, here they are. :)
I love these two...they're so hilarious!

Chris (my bro) and Dave (Mandy's bro) rehearsing on Friday. They were joined by Olivia Fredrickson and her brother for an awesome cello quartet -- you should have heard the warm, rich sound of four cellos playing together.  It was beautiful.

Here's a funny moment.  This is Mandy's mom, Chardell, at the rehearsal -- preparing to walk down the aisle with John McPherson, who was standing in as "Peter" for the rehearsal.  ;)  Now that was a crackup for sure.  (John was also my second shooter for this wedding -- he's an awesome photographer!)

One of my favorite photos from the day.  This is one of Peter's (and now Mandy's) little nephews.  Is he cute or what!

I love all the personality that comes out at weddings.  There is so much life and joy and everyone is wearing their emotions on their sleeves.  It's a fun challenge, because everything's happening at once and you have to work fast!  :)

That's all for now.  I have to get back to [surprise] editing!  Have a great Independence Day, everyone!  :)

A cutie

I have a weakness for little flower girls and ring bearers at weddings.  They're so much fun to goof off with.  And they always steal the show.  :)  Just look at this sweet little face!

More photos later.  I have to go to sleep directly or I shall turn into a pumpkin.  Busy busy busy weekend...and I am wiped.  It was great though.  Lots of good photos and good times!

More cuteness!

Where Kate is concerned, the more photos, the better, in my opinion.  ;)  When I'm around her, I wish I had a sports camera with super-high shutter speeds.  She has the most hilarious expressions, and they change in a split second!

Here's my most recent photo of Kate.  Such a cute little waif!  ;)  She is growing up so fast...some time I need to do a "real" portrait session with her.

Kate. Quite possibly the cutest kid in the world.

Of course I'm a little biased, but I think my little cousin Kate has got to be one of the cutest kids EVer.  You just might agree once you see these photos!

Here she is as a baby...

And here she is as a two-year-old.  She wouldn't really pose for me, of course, but she has so many hilarious expressions...all I have to do was just keep my camera around at family get-togethers and I'm sure to get something!

And it didn't end there.  I think I'll post a few more tomorrow.  ;)

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday!  He is risen!!!
