Way too much fun with an umbrella

So, on a bright sunny morning, Mary Frances and I took an umbrella and went out and did portraits.  She is a natural poser and she has gorgeous eyes and tons of personality...so needless to say we had a blast!  We were having great fun just being our normal goofy selves and I think the photos reflect that...hehe... ;)

Pensive moment (it was brief, trust me)...

Love her smile!

Mischief ahead!

This one makes me laugh!!  :D

Sisterhood of the crazy hairs.  Except mine weren't quite as crazy as usual that morning.

Such gorgeous eyes.

And that, my friends, is all for now.  :)  To view the full collection (30+ photos), click [here].

The Nieuwsma girls

Here's some more portraits of the "harp girls"...Victoria, Alexandra, Sophia, and Anastasia. They were playing for a fundraiser I photographed, and afterwards we did some portraits.  We had great fun together -- I love impromptu portrait sessions!

All four of the girls play the harp beautifully!

Four pretty ladies

Yesterday I ended up doing a quick impromptu portrait session at the end of an event shoot.  These four sisters were playing harp as background music for the event, and afterward we just couldn't help having a little fun!  :)

I'll post more photos later this week as I edit, but meanwhile here's one for you to enjoy...

And more favorites of Kira!

Here's the final batch of my favorite images from Kira's portrait session.  :)  It was hard to choose...she's such a photogenic little princess.

And of course, Friskia is rather photogenic too.  ;)

Dreaming among the flowers...

I have a weakness for these little violets.  :)

Love that happy smile!

I posted this photo earlier, in color...but the sepia seems to have a special magic of its own.

The End.  Ta-daaaaa!  :D

Oh, and one with her Mona Lisa smile...

If you want to see more, I'll be uploading the entire batch of finals to this gallery tonight.

Next post: the birthday present I did for my mom this week!  I'm very excited to share it with you!!  :D

Kira

Last Saturday Kira and I had a lovely girly portrait session!  :)  The roses are in full bloom at the park where we went, and so are a gazillion other flowers. Spring is just bursting forth from every corner of that garden.  Pretty roses and a pretty little girl...what more could a photographer want?

All she needs is some wings. :) Doesn't she look like a little flower fairy?

I love the yellow and purple here.

With her dog, Friskia (I'm not quite sure of the spelling...).  He's a very sweet and friendly German Spitz.

Sometimes she has quite the Mona Lisa smile. Rather enigmatic for a nine-year-old, I think!  I'll have to post some of those tomorrow.
