Darlene & Reece

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It was less than a week ago, but seems so much further back to me now that Christmas season is in full swing.  My tree is decorated and outdoor lights are up...I love all the sparkly things that come out this time of year!  :)

On to the important stuff.  I have so many other sessions/weddings to share, but I just finished this wedding and I'm so excited that I decided it gets to go next!

Reece and Darlene were married way up north in the town of Challenge, CA -- or rather near the town, at the Woodleaf Young Life camp.  Such a gorgeous place.  And perfect weather!

Darlene is a fellow photographer (and a good one!), and she and Reece made sure to allow plenty of time for bride/groom portraits before the wedding.  We wandered all over the camp and found all sorts of wonderful settings.  Good times!

Tim and Jenny - photos coming soon!

This adorable couple of lovebirds got married the day after Shannon and Chris (below) -- which is why I'm a bit backlogged right now!  But here's one photo to tide you over till I can catch up a bit.  (More on Facebook, if you've visited my page there!)  This was our last photo of the day, as they left the reception...a romantic moment in the moonlight.  :)

Shannon and Chris - coming soon!

Last week I took a super-quick trip to Colorado to photograph Chris and Shannon's wedding...it was perfect timing, a lovely sunny day *just* after a blizzard dumped two or three feet of snow!  (That's perfect God timing!)

Jenny and Ryan - a pretty backyard wedding

Last Saturday, Jenny and Ryan and their families gathered in the grandparents' backyard, and tied the knot...both literally and figuratively!

This is a "Lovers' Knot", which Ryan tied and gave to Jenny during the ceremony for her to finish.  Ryan is a sailor, so this was apt! Apparently in the olden days, a sailor would tie this knot, leaving it loose, and send it to his sweetheart.  If she tightened the knot and sent it back, he knew she was his!

I saw these redwoods in the front yard of Ryan's parents' home, and asked him if we could do his individual photos here. He told me that when he was a kid, he planted these trees!

Check out that adorable baby bump!  Jimmy and Lisa (Ryan's sister) were married last fall, and I photographed their wedding.  They are going to be fabulous parents!!

Jeremy and Kendra's wedding

Jeremy and Kendra got married last Saturday!  It was so much fun photographing this relaxed, kind-hearted couple.  Kendra is a nurse and Jeremy is a...well, a brainy computer guy who does things I can't really explain, not being a brainy computer person myself!  ;)

They were married in Pleasanton, CA, and we began with photos at a park nearby, continuing on to the downtown area (more on that later!).  Enjoy...
