Tim and Jenny - engagement portraits

...although I have to admit, "portraits" somehow sounds overly dignified for this happy, hilarious photo session!  These two kept cracking me up -- and each other, too, so I just kept photographing it all through the laughter.  Tim and Jenny know how to make each other laugh!  Not to mention that they're both very photogenic individuals, perfectly at ease in front of the camera, and totally twitterpated.  Makes for a lovely engagement photo session!

 

Love all the happiness here!  It was a great afternoon.  Can't wait for the wedding next month!!

Dan and Julie

Here are a few more of the images from Dan and Julie's engagement session in Sacramento.  It was the middle of the day, typically the hardest time for photographers to get sweet light, but we found some!

Yes, they love each other... :) 

They both have such fun, easygoing personalities.  I can't wait to photograph the wedding next month!  There are lots more photos...I'll post more as I have them ready.  :)

On another note...I'm leaving in a few hours for Steven and Grace's wedding in Mexico!  Looking forward to photographing this wonderful couple and their family and friends.  They've picked out some beautiful photo locations and it's going to be just loverly.  :)  I'm not sure how much internet access I'll have, but I'll try to update here if at all possible!

Blake & Jae engagement session

Blake and Jae are getting married in June, and we met this month for an engagement session.  It was a cloudy afternoon with rain approaching, but it held off till after we finished -- yay!

Blake and Jae are so relaxed and natural with each other...obviously meant to be together!  It was wonderful to spend a couple hours with them and get to know them better.  They both love the outdoors, so we hit it off right away.  And they were willing to do whatever it took to get some great photos.  Which we did!  We went to a park outside Livermore and found all sorts of things that made this photog very happy...rocks, paths, green grass, a bridge with cool lines, and near the end of our time together, a beautifully green, ferny, secluded little nook.  It was a magical spot for sure!

Brent & Chantil's SF engagement session, part 1

I just love engagement sessions! Brent and Chantil's was so fun...we met in San Francisco and wandered all over the Golden Gate bridge area, photographing as we went.  More than once, we spotted a place to take a photo, and headed towards it -- and along the way, found something else even cooler.  (Honestly, I could never work in a studio...why confine yourself, when "all the world's a stage"!)  Besides pretty light (if you know me you know I looooove pretty light!), we found reflections and clouds and cool lines...ahhhh...photographer happiness!


It was fun to get to know Brent and Chantil a little better.  I met Brent about a year ago, when he was in his brother's wedding, which I photographed.  He has an infectious grin and a go-getter attitude.  And Chantil is a beauty!  They clearly think the world of each other, and it was a treat to do my best to capture that in their photos.  So here goes...

Brent & Chantil engagement session preview

Last Saturday, I had WAY too much fun with an engagement session in San Francisco!  Brent and Chantil wanted their photos with this iconic SF landmark, the Golden Gate Bridge...

It was a beautiful day.  Talk about made-to-order weather!
